Natia Suarishvili, the Head of the Macroeconomic Analysis and Tax Policy Unit of the Parliamentary Budget Office, will study at Williams College

Natia Suarishvili, the Head of the Macroeconomic Analysis and Tax Policy Unit of the Parliamentary Budget Office of Georgia, was granted admission with full funding to the MA in Policy Economics program for the 2022-2023 academic year at Williams College. The goal of the program is to provide students with a thorough understanding of the development process, emphasizing analytical techniques helpful to analyze economic policy.

In the budget office, Natia's main authority is to analyze the macroeconomic environment of the country and to produce macroeconomic forecasts. The coincidence of the work duties assigned to her and the curriculum of the master's course offered by Williams College became the basis of Natia's decision to choose again the field of economic policy for her professional development.

After completing the program, Natia's goal is to return to the Parliamentary Budget Office with new experiences and visions, and to use the knowledge acquired in the US to create new products and develop new models, which will contribute to bring the activities of the Budget Office even closer to international standards, as well as a multifaceted in-depth analysis of the country's economic policy.

Natia will start studying in the USA from August 2022.
